Video: Alex Killorn's hit on Toronto's Paul Ranger
Maple Leafs defenseman Paul Ranger was taken off the ice on a stretcher and taken to a Toronto hospital as a precaution after this hit from Tampa Bay forward Alex Killorn. The Leafs reported Ranger, who played for the Lightning from 2005-10, was "stable, conscious and alert." Killorn received a five-minute boarding major and a game misconduct for the hit that came with 4.1 seconds left in the first period. There will be no supplemental discipline from the league.
