Bishop to start tonight, Paquette okay
Goalie Ben Bishop will start tonight against the Hurricanes, a rare scenario where he's played both games in a back-to-back.
Bishop was stellar in Saturday's 4-2 win over the Penguins, stopping 37 of 39 shots, a key reason why the Lightning held on. Tampa Bay, which moved into a tie for third place in the Atlantic Division with Detroit, needs every win it can get, with the Hurricanes surging to within striking distance of a playoff spot.
With goalie Andrei Vasilevskiy having started Thursday, Bishop was well-rested going into this weekend and him starting again makes sense.
In other news, Cooper indicated that center Cedric Paquette is okay, though it's unknown if he'll play tonight. It certainly didn't look good when Paquette hobbled off the ice late in Saturday's game after taking a shot off his left foot/leg, the gritty forward needing to be helped into the dressing room.
If Paquette doesn't play, wing Erik Condra, a healthy scratch Saturday, could get back in the lineup, or the Lightning could go with seven defensemen.
