Tampa Bay Lightning lineup for Tuesday's game with the Coyotes
Tampa Bay Lightning coach Rick Tocchet made a few tweaks to the lineup after watching his team lose Monday night 3-1 to the Senators in a rather dispassionate effort. Here is who will play Tuesday against the Coyotes in Everett, Wash.
Note: Tocchet said that beginning Tuesday, goalies will play 60 minutes. Expect Mike Smith to go the distance. Also, tonight will be the first game for defenseman Andrej Meszaros, who in March had season-ending left shoulder surgery. ... Read more
Lightning lineup for Wednesday's game with the Coyotes in Loveland, Colo.
Lightning coach Rick Tocchet has said that beginning with Wednesday's game with the Coyotes in Loveland, Colo., that he will start using a lineup that better represents what the team will look like when the regular season starts. Not that there won't be changes, and continued evaluation of players on the bubble, but, as he said, "I have to start going with the real team."
One note: You might have read this morning in the paper that goaltender Mike Smith was inadvertently kicked in his private parts by teammate Ryan Craig during Tuesday's 2-1 win over the Coyotes in Everett, Wash. Smith joked about it afterward and clearly was not affected as he made 32 saves on 33 shots. Smith has now stopped 50 of 52 preseason shots. So far, Smith seems as if he is back after a seven-month recovery from post concussion syndrome. ... Read more
