Tampa Bay Lightning moves create more certainty and add some intrigue

When the Lightning put Ryan Craig, Brandon Bochenski and Adam Hall on waivers with the intent of sending them to AHL Norfolk, and released Brett McLean from his tryout, it left the big club with 25 players, two from the limit of 23 the team much reach by Wednesday. That means at least two more cuts need to be made, and since no moves were made to trim the 11 defensemen on the roster, it seems reasonable that is where the cuts will come. ... Read more

No claims made on Lightning players on waivers; Matt Lashoff, Mike Lundin go on waivers

No waiver claims were made on the three Lightning forwards put on waivers on Monday. Adam Hall, Ryan Craig and Brandon Bochenski all will be assigned to AHL Norfolk.

The Lightning also put defensemen Mike Lundin and Matt Lashoff on 24-hour waivers to make the last two cuts and get the team down to the limit of 23. That's a bit of a roll of the dice. Ryan Craig clears re-entry waivers, will join Tampa Bay Lightning tonight

Forward Ryan Craig cleared re-entry waivers and could play for the Tampa Bay Lightning in tonight's game with the Senators. To clear roster space, defenseman Paul Ranger, away from the team dealing with a personal issue, was placed on injured reserve.
