Center Zenon Konopka hopes to return tonight
Lightning rugged C Zenon Konopka, who has missed the last six games with back spasms, said Thursday morning that he feels good and hopes to play tonight against Buffalo.
But coach Rick Tocchet said Konopka's status will be a game-time decision.
"Obviously, as a player, sometimes your vision is blurred, that’s why the coach makes the final decision if you’re in or out,'' Konopks said. "But I’ve been working hard all week trying to get back in shape. The type of game I play, obviously, is tough on the body sometimes, so whatever the coaching staff feels is right for the team is going to happen. We’ve just got to win this game tonight. That’s the bottom line. If I’m in, I’ll give 100 percent and if I’m not, positive energy will be flowing to the guys.''
