Could injured Lightning captain Vinny Lecavalier be back in as few as three weeks?
If everything goes without a hitch, injured Lightning captain Vinny Lecavalier could be back in the lineup by the middle of March, general manager Steve Yzerman said.
The team originally said Lecavalier would be out indefinitely, but an MRI exam showed the fractured bone in his right hand is not displaced, meaning only time, and no surgery, is required for healing. Yzerman acknowledged the three-week window might be pushing it.
"These things, generally, can take three to six weeks,” he said. “Three is on the early side. We just have to wait and see how the bone heals and go from there.”
