Downie out again; Garon back in net
Lightning right wing Steve Downie will miss his second consecutive game with an upper body injury, though coach Guy Boucher said it's more of a precautionary thing.
"He could play," Boucher said. "We just want to be smart with this."
Boucher reiterated it's not a concussion situation, but a specific doctor has to clear him, but will travel with the team on its upcoming road trip.
*Boucher said G Mathieu Garon, who made 23 saves in Friday's win, will start again.
*D Victor Hedman racked up over 29 minutes in Friday's win, with Boucher acknowledging both Hedman and D Eric Brewer are "sleeping on the ice," having to take more minutes because D Matt Gilroy and D Marc Andre Bergeron are battling some physical issues.
*Though C Vinny Lecavalier doesn't want to talk about statistics - specifically his own - he's got 10 goals now, and is on pace for a 40-goal season. Boucher said it's a product of Lecavalier doing the right things on the ice, and he's putting himself in the correct positions.
"He could have 16 goals now," Boucher said. "If you compare Vinny now to last year at the beginning of the year, he wasn't even getting chances. He's getting loads and loads since the beginning of the year, it's just paying off."
*While C Dana Tyrell, Nate Thompson and Adam Hall hadn't practiced much at all together this season, the successful line from last year picked up where it left off Friday in it's first game back together. Boucher said the group just has that certain chemistry, and complement each other.
