Draft lottery is tonight at 8 p.m. on Versus

The Tampa Bay Lightning will find out where it picks in the draft with tonight's draft lottery.

Tampa Bay (34-36-12) finished with 80 points, good for 25th in the 30-team league. That gives them the No. 6 pick in the draft. Because the team selected can move up a maximum of four spots, the best Tampa Bay could do is the No. 2 pick. Teams can drop only one, so the worst it could do is the No. 7 pick.

The team will be assigned 62 of the 1,000 numerical combinations from the lottery balls. That gives the Lightning a 6.2 percent chance of being selected.

Here are the top seven draft-eligible North American players as compiled by NHL Central Scouting:

1. Tyler Seguin, C, Plymouth, 6-1, 172, 48 goals, 58 assists.

2. Taylor Hall, LW, Windsor, 6-1, 185, 40 goals, 66 assists.

3. Brett Connolly, RW, Prince George, 6-2, 181, 10 goals, 9 assists (only played 16 games).

4. Erik Gudbranson, D, Kingston, 6-4, 195, 2 goals, 21 assists.

5. Cam Fowler, D, Windsor, 6-1, 190, 8 goals, 47 assists.

6. Brandon Gormley, D, Moncton, 6-2, 185, 9 goals, 34 assists.
