A flurry of moves and the Tampa Bay Lightning's roster is as good as done (updated)

This is pretty much the same post except left wing Johan Harju, as expected, was assigned to AHL Norfolk.

The Tampa Bay Lightning's roster isn't officially set. It has until 3 p.m. Wednesday until is must file with the league, but with Tuesday's moves, we can speculate with reasonable certainty as to how the roster will look.

Here is a pretty good guess with some caveats to follow:

Goaltenders -- Mike Smith, Dan Eilis. Defensemen -- Brett Clark, Randy Jones, Pavel Kubina, Matt Smaby, Mike Lundin, Mike Vernace, Victor Hedman, Mattias Ohlund. Forwards -- Ryan Malone, Steve Downie, Sean Bergenheim, Simon Gagne, Teddy Purcell, Adam Hall, Dominic Moore, Dana Tyrell, Nate Thompson, Steven Stamkos, Marty St. Louis, Vinny Lecavalier, Mattias Ritola.

Harju, as expected, was sent to AHL Norfolk (he does not require waivers) to get some more time getting used to the North American game. There also is a strong possibility Ohlund (knee) will be put on injured reserve. If Ohlund is put on IR, the team will be at 22 players, one off the limit, which would give GM Steve Yzerman the flexibility to add a player off waivers before the deadline. Good for Tyrell, who impressed the coaching staff with his tenaciousness to the point it believes he is better off as a probable fourth-line player than playing 20 minutes a night for Norfolk.

So, to sum up Tuesday's action:

Left wing Mattias Ritola was acquired off waivers from the Red Wings and will play with the big club. Forward Eric Perrin was released from his tryout. Defenseman Mathieu Roy was put on waivers. If he clears he will be assigned to AHL Norfolk. Goalie Cedrick Desjardins and left wings Chris Durno and Harju were assigned to AHL Norfolk.
