Former Tampa Bay Lightning player Mike McBain pleads guilty to attempted sexual assault with a child
Former Tampa Bay Lightning defenseman Mike McBain, who played 54 games for Tampa Bay from 1997-99, pleaded guilty to attempted sexual assault and attempted lewdness with a child, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported.
McBain, 45, whom the Lightning drafted in the second round, 30th overall, in 1995, had zero goals, seven assists and 22 penalty minutes for Tampa Bay in his only two NHL seasons. McBain had since played in the minor leagues. He finished his career with the ECHL Las Vegas Wranglers from 2003-08.
