Is it time for former Tampa Bay Lightning captain Dave Andreychuk to get to the Hall of Fame?

The Hockey Hall of Fame's 18-member selection committee will meet Tuesday and announce its 2011 inductees. It would seem prime time for Tampa Bay Lightning former captain Dave Andreychuk to be elected.

The committee can add up to four male players. The two most obvious seem to be Joe Nieuwendyk (564 goals, 1,126 points) and Doug Gilmore (1,414 points). Former Lightning assistant coach Adam Oates (1,420 points) also should get prime consideration.

Then there is Andreychuk, who 640 goals are 13th in NHL history. Andreychuk also has 1,338 points, is the only 600 goal scorer not in the Hall. He also has a league-record 274 power-play goals.

With the help of ESPN.com's Pierre LeBrun, here are some other players who will get consideration: Ed Belfour, Pavel Bure, Pierre Turgeon, Eric Lindros and Alexander Mogilny, Kevin Lowe, Mark Howe and Steve Larmer.

Seems to me, it's time for Andreychuk. The only 600-goal scorer not in the Hall, a Stanley Cup champion, a player who remade his game in the latter stages of his career to stay relevant, and a good leader for the Lightning.
