Lightning puts 7 players on waivers
The Tampa Bay Lightning on Monday put seven players on waivers. We will know at noon Tuesday if any were claimed.
Six of the players were expected. They were part of 21 cuts -- and 19 players who were assigned to training camp at AHL Norfolk -- who needed to clear waivers before going to their next assignment. Those were forwards Paul Szczechura, Blair Jones, Mitch Fritz, Mike Angelidis and Juraj Simek, and defenseman Vladimir Mihalik.
The seventh was forward Chris Durno.
