Lightning reassigns Johan Harju to AHL Norfolk; G Curtis McElhinney on waivers

The Tampa Bay Lightning announced Saturday it had reassigned left wing Johan Harju to AHL Norfolk. Harju was in three games on this call-up and had an assist. He had a season-high 12:19 of ice time Wednesday against the Coyotes. He leads Norfolk, which has had a terrible time lately getting on the scoreboard, with 18 goals. The move leaves Tampa Bay with 11 forwards, which gives GM Steve Yzerman room to maneuver if he wants to pick up a forward at the trade deadline. Also, as expected, G Curtis McElhinney was put on waivers. We will know at noon Monday is he is claimed. If not, he likely goes to Norfolk. .
