Lightning signs C Marc-Antoine Pouliot
The Tampa Bay Lightning made an acquisition on Friday aimed at increasing organizational depth as it signed free-agent center Marc-Antoine Pouliot to a one-year, two-way contract. The 25-year-old split last season between the Oilers and AHL Springfield. He had seven goals, 14 points and 21 penalty minutes in 35 games for Edmonton.
Pouliot has 21 goals, 53 points and 74 penalty minutes in 176 NHL games, all for the Oilers, who drafted him in the first round (22nd overall) in 2003. He had 45 goals, 114 points in 70 games for Rimouski in the junior Quebec league in 2004-05.
