Norfolk right wing Mark Parrish clears waivers
Just some housekeeping:
Norfolk right wing Mark Parrish cleared waivers today, was signed to a one-year contract pro-rated to the rest of the season and has been assigned officially to the Admirals. The Lightning has 30 days to bring him to Tampa Bay if it desires before the clearance expires, though there is no immediate indication that is the plan.
At the very least, it is a reward for the former NHL all-star, 33, who has gone through two tryout contracts with 12 goals, 25 points in 42 games, and a nod to Norfolk's improved play. Signing Parrish will help keep some continuity for a good situation going there.
