Sidney Crosby just wrong when it comes to hit from Tampa Bay Lightning D Victor Hedman
Penguins star Sidney Crosby admitted he likely received his concussion from a hit by Washington's David Steckel during the Winter Classic and not from Wednesday's hit from Tampa Bay Lightning defenseman Victor Hedman. But Crosby is simply wrong to say, as he told reporters in Pittsburgh, that both hits were to the head.
While Steckel delivered his hit to the jaw, Hedman more pushed Crosby from behind into the end boards and Crosby's face hit the glass. Here is the play:
