The Tampa Bay Lightning with the 148th overall pick of the NHL draft took Russian defenseman Nikita Nesterov. Tampa Bay is three-for-three taking players with Russian backgrounds.

Nesterov, 18, at 6 feet, 183 pounds had five goals, 19 points and 72 penalty minutes for Russia's junior Chelyabinsk team.
