Tampa Bay Lightning defeats Montreal Canadiens 3-1

NOVEMBER 07, 2009

First-period goals by Ryan Malone and Alex Tanguay propelled the Lightning to a 3-1 win over the Canadiens on Saturday night at Bell Centre in Montreal. Rookie James Wright added his second goal of the season in the second period. Montreal's only score came from Brian Gionta on the power play in the second. Lightning goalie Antero Niittymaki had 36 saves.
