The Lightning re-signed defenseman Matt Lashoff to a two-year contract, it announced in a news release.
“We were extremely pleased to bring Matt into the fold at the trade deadline,” Lawton said in a statement. “We are even more excited to get him under contract for the upcoming season. His signing today only further enhances the overall depth of our organization at defense as we head into training camp.”
Lashoff, 6 feet 2, 204 pounds, played 12 games for Tampa Bay after being acquired from Boston. Overall, he has played in 58 NHL games with the Lightning and the Bruins, recording a goal and 15 points.
