Tampa Bay Lightning signs C Blair Jones
The Tampa Bay Lightning on Thursday signed center Blair Jones to a one-year, two-way deal that will pay $550,000 if he is in the NHL and $60,000 if he is in the minors. An official announcement from the team is expected today.
Jones, 23, a 2005 fourth-round draft pick, had nine goals, 30 points in 63 games last season for AHL Norfolk. He was disappointing in 14 games with Tampa Bay with zero points and 10 penalty minutes.
