Tampa Bay Lightning stands pat, so roster is set; Mathieu Roy clears waivers
Defenseman Mathieu Roy cleared waivers Wednesday and was assigned to AHL Norfolk. The Tampa Bay Lightning also did not make any waiver claims, which means the opening day roster is set at what we speculated on Tuesday unless a trade comes out of nowhere. No word on if defenseman Mattias Ohlund will be put on injured reserve. Whether he is or not, he will not play Saturday against the Thrashers, and might not play next week's games wither against Montreal, Philadelphia and Florida.
So, once again, here is the lineup:
Goaltenders -- Dan Ellis, Mike Smith.
Forwards: Sean Bergenheim, Steve Downie, Simon Gagne, Adam Hall, Vinny Lecavalier, Ryan Malone, Dominic Moore, Teddy Purcell, Mattias Ritola, Marty St. Louis, Steve Stamkos, Nate Thompson, Dana Tyrell.
Defensemen: Brett Clark, Victor Hedman, Randy Jones, Pavel Kubina, Mike Lundin, Mattias Ohlund, Matt Smaby, Mike Vernace.
