Tampa Bay Lightning W Marty St. Louis keeping a wary eye on Hurricane Sandy

When Tampa Bay Lightning wing Marty St. Louis left the ice after Monday's skate at the Ice Sports Forum in Brandon, he went straight for his phone to check on the progress of Hurricane Sandy. He didn't particularly like what he saw.

"The water is coming up, boys," St. Louis declared as he walked into the locker room.

St. Louis has a right to be concerned as he said he and wife Heather only two weeks ago bought a new house in Greenwich, Conn., right on the Long Island Sound, which is expected to see a storm surge of at least 11 feet.

"As we speak the water is in my front yard," St. Louis said.

The good news, if you want to call it that, is the house still is unfurnished. Even so, "I'm expecting the worst," St. Louis said.

It also wasn't lost on him the hurricane is nowhere near Florida, where, you know, hurricanes are known to hit.

"You spend so much time worrying about hurricanes down here," St. Louis said. "Now, there's one up there."
