Tampa Bay Lightning's 2nd-round draft pick is Russian wing Nikita Kucherov
The Tampa Bay Lightning, with the 58th pick overall in the NHL draft, took wing Nikita Kucherov. The 18-year-old is 5 feet 10, 163 pounds and is the No. 17 ranked European skater.
Here is his draft card from the NHL:
• Represented Team Russia at the 2011 Under-18 World Championships, recording 21 points (11-10-21) in seven games to help lead his team to a bronze medal. Kucherov was named the Best Forward - his 11 goals and record 21 points led the tournament.
• He recorded 58 points (27-31-58) in 41 games playing for CSKA's junior team, helping lead them to the MHL championship.
