Tampa Bay Lightning's suspended game with the Devils to resume Sunday in New Jersey
The NHL announced that Friday's suspended game between the Tampa Bay Lightning and Devils will be resumed at 6 p.m. Sunday at the Prudential Center. The game will be resumed from where it stopped: with 9:12 left in the second period and the Lightning ahead 3-0.
The game was stopped when a broken circuit breaker knocked out a bank of lights on one end of the arena. After a wait of 102 minutes, the game was suspended.
The Sunday game seems the most logical solution. The Lightning, which plays Saturday in Philadelphia, is still in the area, and Tampa Bay was not scheduled to be back to New Jersey this season . The Devils come home after Saturday's game in Montreal. it will be the third game in as many nights for both teams.
