Here is the announcement from the Lightning:

Ever wanted to bluff your favorite sports hero off a big hand at the poker table?  How about one of the top poker players in the world? Your chance will come on Wednesday, September 14 at the 5th Annual Vincent Lecavalier Texas Hold ‘Em Celebrity Poker Tournament & Casino Night at the T. Pepin Hospitality Centre in Tampa.

The evening, presented by DEX Imaging, gets started at 6 p.m. with a private VIP/Players Draw Party, followed by the Wild Card Party featuring entertainment, a silent auction, chance drawings, casino gaming, cocktails and hors d’oeuvres for all guests at 7:15 p.m.  Proceeds from the event will benefit the Vincent Lecavalier Pediatric Cancer and Blood Disorders Center at All Children’s Hospital.

Join Tampa Bay Lightning stars Vincent Lecavalier, Martin St. Louis, Steven Stamkos and a host of top celebrities as they go ALL IN for a new season to benefit the Vincent Lecavalier Pediatric Cancer and Blood Disorders Center at All Children’s Hospital. Other teammates scheduled to participate at this time include Teddy Purcell, Nate Thompson,  Dana Tyrell, Victor Hedman, Steve Downie, Ryan Shannon, Adam Hall, Ryan Malone, Bruno Gervais and Hockey Legend, Phil Esposito.

And it’s not all just hockey.  On hand will be champion boxers Antonio Tarver and Winky Wright, New York Knicks forward Jared Jeffries, former MLB outfielder Gary Sheffield, former NFL place kicker Martin Gramatica, former NFL cornerback Donnie Abraham, Super Bowl MVP, Dexter Jackson,  and NASCAR Sprint Cup driver, Regan Smith, as well as poker pros Joe Sebok, Matt “The Banker” Helm, and former WSOP Champion Jerry Yang. “This center will leave a legacy for the children and families I’ve met and so many others like them for years to come. This has become a dream that matters much more to me than any success on the ice,” Lecavalier said.

The real winner will be Vinny’s pediatric cancer center, but players will win some of the more than $45,000 in prizes from the tournament and casino night, including a WSOP main event seat, Lightning season tickets and fantasy sports and poker travel packages. In addition, the celebrities will compete for a $10,000 donation to the charity of their choice for the “last one standing’”. For those that are not as poker savvy, there are unlimited re-buys during the first hour of play to guarantee players will enjoy the action for a small donation. As an added incentive, any player who knocks out a celebrity will earn a “bounty” of autographed memorabilia.

VIP all access guest passes and spectator passes can be purchased online. All guests will receive an allotment of fun play chips at the beginning of the night.  The chips have no cash value and are not redeemable for cash.
