Vinny Prospal says former Tampa Bay Lightning teammate Marty St. Louis is a model for players
As part of a larger rant against what he sees as a lack of hard work and attention to detail in the Blue Jackets organization, which is 0-5-1 to start the season, Vinny Prospal held up his former Lightning teammate Marty St. Louis as someone younger players should emulate.
"That guy, when he’s not scoring, he goes out there and he battles like crazy," Prospal told the Columbus Dispatch. "He shoots with purpose. He goes to the net with purpose. That’s what makes you appreciate the hockey player and the person. He has achieved so much over his career and still, if he’s not scoring, he doesn’t just say, ‘Oh, (the heck with) it, it will come.’ No, no. He works through it."
