Right wing B.J. Crombeen has agreed to a two-year extension with the Lightning.

Crombeen, 27, acquired in July from the Blues, has a goal and seven assists in 30 games, while providing grit and willingness to fight.

“He has proven to be a hard-nosed right winger and reliable penalty killer, as well as a very popular teammate of outstanding character," general manager Steve Yzerman said.

Crombeen ranks first on the Lightning and fifth in the league in penalty minutes.

Said Crombeen: "I am very excited to move forward with the group we have and chase a spot in the playoffs."
