Lightning finishes prospects tournament undefeated after 2-1 victory over the Panthers

Nikita Kucherov scored in the first and the second period to lead the Lightning to a 2-1 victory over the host Panthers Sunday at a prospects tournament at the Iceplex in Coral Springs.

Tampa Bay finished the tournament, which also included the Bruins and Predators, 2-0-0 with a tie. The Lightning was the only team to win twice. Kucherov had four goals.

Goaltender Kristers Gudlevskis stopped 22 of 23 shots as Tampa Bay outshot the Panthers 32-23. There were four fights in the game.

There was no official update about goalie Eric Brassard, who left Saturday's 7-4 victory over the Predators late in the second period with a left arm injury. He was seen icing the arm but indicated to the Lightning web site he is fine.
