Palat appears ready to return tonight

It looks like wing Ondrej Palat will return to the lineup tonight against the Senators.

Coach Jon Cooper said there's a chance Palat, who has been sidlined since Nov. 7 with a left ankle injury, will be back. Palat participated in today's morning skate with Triplets linemates Tyler Johnson and Nikita Kucherov.

With Palat back, that allowed the Lightning to deepen its forward group. Steven Stamkos is playing with Jonathan Drouin and Alex Killorn. J.T. Brown was with Valtteri Filppula and Ryan Callahan. The question is if the Lightning will go with 11/7, as Nikita Nesterov was off early and appears to be in. Jonathan Marchessault and Jonathan Drouin were among those last on the ice.

Erik Condra (lower body) and Cedric Paquette (uppper body) didn't skate, but they're a week or two away from returning.

Goalie Ben Bishop will start for the Lightning, as he's 6-0-3 in his career against the Senators, his former team.
