Tyler Johnson could be ready by Game 1
Lightning center Tyler Johnson (upper body) could be ready for Game 1 of the first-round against the Red Wings Wednesday at Amalie Arena, general manager Steve Yzerman said.
It's good news for Tampa Bay, considering how bad it looked when Johnson's head hit the boards awkwardly after a post-whistle shove by Montreal's Greg Pateryn. Johnson left the game and didn't return, with coach Jon Cooper saying there was "a lot" of concern.
But Yzerman said Johnson is considered day-to-day. The Lightning returns to practice Monday in Brandon, so it'll be interesting to see if Johnson is there for that skate or Tuesday.
