Hulk's new show a battle of celeb freakazoids
And you thought Bubba the Love Sponge Clem was the biggest knucklehead involved with Hulk Hogan's new celebrity wrestling competition?
Turns out, Clem's work as play by play announcer may be the least colorful aspect of CMT's Hulk Hogan's Celebrity Championship Wrestling, following the announcement of a cast that reads like a who's who of celebrity dysfunction:
There's tattooed and bejeweled NBA freakazoid Dennis Rodman; ex-Saved by the Bell and sex tape star Dustin Diamond, Diff'rent Strokes actor and ex-addict Todd Bridges; Partridge Family star and police magnet Danny Bonaduce; faded '80s pop star Tiffany; celebrity brother Frank Stallone; Playboy playmate Nikki Ziering; Bewitched actor Erin Murphy; heavyweight boxer ButterBean; and perpetual reality TV participant Trishelle Cannatella.
The celebs will be split into two teams and coached by ex-pros Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake and Brian "Nasty Boy" Nobs. They learn three new moves each week, culminating with a match and an ejection after the match ends.
The whole celebrity-crazed, steroid-fueled craziness hits TV screen Oct. 18 on CMT. I feel my IQ points dropping even as I type these words about it.
