Deggans talking debates, ACORN and gay marriage on Florida This Week
I'm making another appearance on Rob Lorei's talk show for WEDU-Ch. 3, Florida This Week, to talk
politics with a Sunshine State feel.
If you've been reading this blog, you already know how I feel about the debates. But I hope to bring up some other issues, including the decision by several incumbent politicians to skip debates that WEDU tried to organize between candidates for elected positions in the area.
It's a game incumbents play all the time. They know voters may not have time to learn the details of issues in their particular race, and as established politicians they usually have more money for advertisements and the benefit of the doubt for those who are unsure.
We're also going to talk about voter fraud (I think we should be much more worried about voting MISTAKES) and two GOP heavyweights who have taken opposing sides on the amendment placed on the ballot banning gay marriage -- again.
Just to tweak some folks who read the blog, I'm also embedding a YouTube video of one of my favorite shows, sent to me by a friend who swears this is a blueprint for the last presidential debate we saw.
Rob's show airs at 8:30 tonight and 12:30 p.m. Sundays:
