When you lose Opie, Matlock and the Fonz, can you win the White House?
GOP presidential candidate John McCain may have Joe the Plumber and the misguided volunteer who carved a "B" into her cheek, but Barack Obama has Opie, Richie Cunningham, Andy Taylor and the Fonz pulling the lever for him.
Ron Howard actually makes a compelling, earnest plea for Obama, as a guy who says he has voted for candidates from all sides of political spectrunm. When I heard about this clip, I was hesistant to put it on the blog -- the last Funny or Die bit I embedded automatically played every time you loaded the page.
But I was so taken by Howard's earnestness, that I decided to give this a shot. Check out Howard's inspired take on how Opie, Richie, andy and the Fonz might endorse Obama -- if they were flesh and blood folks.
