Ex-Tampa Tribune executive Bruce Faulmann named publisher of Times Publishing Co.'s Florida Trend magazine
On Monday, his name appeared on the Tampa Tribune's masthead as its vice president of advertising and sales. Today, staffers at Times Publishing Co. heard that Bruce Faulmann had left the Media General newspaper to join Florida Trend as its new publisher -- replacing the retiring Lynda Keever, who will stay on as COO until April 2009.
Faulmann brings a tremendous amount of knowledge about area media outlets, from five years as VP at the Tribune to stints as the paper's advertising director and head of marketing. Before that, Faulmann spent 15 years at the Bradenton Herald, ultimately leaving as director of sales. Now he comes to Florida Trend as only the sixth publisher in the magazine's 50-year history.
