Error made in lumping Bill O'Reilly with those who call Obama racist
One serving of humble pie, coming right up.
In my story Sunday for the newspaper's Perspective section, I incorrectly listed Fox News Channel anchor Bill O'Reilly among those conservative pundits who have accused President Barack Obama of being racist.
While O'Reilly has been tough on President Obama about many issues, he hasn't called the president a racist in the way pundits such as Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck have.
You may recall I recently predicted jinxing myself after writing about another TV critic who had lots of accuracy problems. Truth is, we're all human, and part of being a fair journalist is admitting when you've made an error.
Sure hope the jinx is over now.
