Weekend Funny: NBC's Schweddy balls and the St. Pete Chimes
Wanted the start the weekend with the two coolest video clips I've seen this week.
First, the funniest sketch from Thursday's Very Gilly Christmas special offered by Saturday Night Live: Alec Baldwin playing a laid-back chef who presents a particularly meaty and hilariously-named Xmas treat during an NPR segment.
Second, the newspaper has an in-house troupe of volunteer singers which perform a holiday program at offices across timesland. We're called the St. Pete Chimes, and we had a particular bit of fun this year, cranking out Bruce Springsteen's Santa Claus is Coming to Town with a special appearance by keyboard player/gonzo frontman/Poynter Institute vice president and writing teacher extraordinaire, Roy Peter Clark. (I'm playing drums off camera).
So check out both videos and have a great weekend.
