Here are this week’s pop culture winners and losers

Salma Hayek
Salma Hayek has spoken out against Harvey Weinstein, calling the producer a "monster" who threatened her career and her life after she reportedly denied his sexual advances. Hayek said working with Weinstein on the film Frida was like "going to war."  Weinstein reportedly gave the script to another actor, gave Hayek a list of near impossible demands and attempted to send the film straight to video. He also demanded Hayek agree to do a sex scene with another woman with full-frontal nudity. The film ended up being nominated for six Academy Awards."Why do so many of us, as female artists, have to go to war to tell our stories when we have so much to offer? Why do we have to fight tooth and nail to maintain our dignity?"
Harry Styles
Harry Styles might have found his true calling. Late night TV. The singer filled in to host the Late late Show Tuesday while James Corden was with his wife, Julia Carey, who gave birth to a baby girl. "This is a one-time thing … unless CBS likes what they see," Styles said. The Sweet Creature singer and former One Direction member was a total natural, which is even more impressive considering the short notice; Corden's wife went into labor much earlier than expected. "I sat at home two hours ago—in this suit obviously—and I got the call that Jules was going into labor," he said. "So James naturally called the funniest guy he knew, and he wasn't around. So, I'm filling in."
Anna Kendrick
If you're a fan of Pitch Perfect, chances are you're into it for the music. Which is exactly why star Anna Kendrick shut down executives for asking her to wear tighter costumes with more skin showing. "And I'm like, that's not why people are coming to see the movie. They definitely aren't showing up because of our sex appeal," Kendrick said in an interview with Harper's Bazaar. "It's nice that audiences are interested in seeing a movie of misfits and girls of different shapes and sizes."
Taylor Swift
The pop star celebrated her 28th birthday Wednesday, posting a photo to Instagram of herself on stage at the Jingle Bell Ball in London with what seemed like a harmless caption. "I couldn't have asked for a better year, all thanks to you. Thanks for all the birthday wishes," she wrote. But then the internet was all "mmm *eye roll*, must be nice," and took to Twitter to remind the singer that 2017 was actually a pretty trash year for a lot of people. "I mean, yeah there were Nazi's" one Twitter user wrote. But, really, Taylor Swift did have a good year. Her Reputation went triple platinum, she's in a relationship with Joe Alwyn, she won her counter suit for sexual assault and was on the friggin' cover of Time for their Person of the Year issue.

Women in Hollywood
Expect to see a lot of black on the red carpet this season. And no, it's not this year's "it" color. Several presenters and nominees have vowed to wear all black to this year's Golden Globes in solidarity with the victims of sexual assault and to protest against harassment in Hollywood.

Morgan Spurlock
Director and producer Morgan Spurlock admitted to being part of the problem when it comes to the widespread issue of sexual misconduct in Hollywood. In a Twitter post, Spurlock wrote that he felt like he needed to be truthful, recounting a time he was accused of rape in college and when he settled a sexual harassment allegation at his office eight years ago. "It was verbal, and it was just as bad," he wrote. "When she decided to quit, she came to me and said if I didn't pay her a settlement, she would tell everyone. Being who I was, it was the last thing I wanted, so of course, I paid. I paid for peace of mind. I paid for her silence and cooperation. Most of all, I paid so I could remain who I was." Spurlock also wrote about cheating in every relationship he's been in. "We should all find the courage to admit we're at fault," he wrote. "More than anything, I'm hopeful that I can start to rebuild the trust and the respect of those I love most. I'm not sure I deserve it, but I will work everyday to earn it back."
Russell Simmons
The music mogul is denying the rape and sexual misconduct allegations made by multiple women in the New York Times. "I vehemently deny all these allegations. These horrific accusations have shocked me to my core and all of my relations have been consensual," he said in a statement. These new allegations come a month after the Los Angeles Times reported model Keri Claussen Khalighi's claims of Simmons' misconduct. On Wednesday, five more women accused Simmons of sexual misconduct.
Carter Oosterhouse
HGTV star Carter Oosterhouse is also denying sexual misconduct allegations. The TV personality, who has been married to Amy Smart since 2011, said he was intimate with his former makeup artist, Kailey Kaminsky, but that it was consensual. "In no way did I ever feel, nor was it ever indicated to me, that Kailey was uncomfortable during our intimate relationship. I would have never done anything that I was not sure was mutually agreeable."
In other news:
Baby news: Have mercy! John Stamos and fiance Caitlin McHugh are going to be parents. "Clearly I had to do some work on myself…People say, 'Oh you look so young.' You start believing you're gonna live to be 150," Stamos told People.
Wedding news: Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have set a wedding date: May 19.
Breakups: Halle Berry and music producer Alex Da Kid have reportedly gone their separate ways.
Arrested: Stand-up comedian Hannibal Buress, known for his roles on the Eric Andre Show and Broad City was arrested in Miami on chartes of disorderly intoxication. "You don't have probable cause for anything and you look hella stupid right now," Buress told the officers in a video posted to YouTube.
