Here are this week’s pop culture winners and losers

Winners:

Serena Williams
Tennis champion Serena Williams opened up about her recent childbirth and the health scare that followed  in Vogue's February issue. Williams said her husband, Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian, cut the cord after an emergency C-section, "then everything went bad." While Williams was in recovery, she began to gasp from being off her regimented blood thinners, which she takes daily after a history of blood clots. Williams had several small blood clots in her lungs, then her C-section wound reopened from coughing. The doctors also found a clotted blood tissue in her abdomen while correcting her lung, which required yet another operation. (Seriously, this woman is so strong.) Williams, who has 23 Grand Slams, also talked about how being a new mom has helped her game. "When I'm too anxious I lose matches, and I feel like a lot of that anxiety disappeared when Olympia was born. Knowing I've got this beautiful baby to go home to makes me feel like I don't have to play another match. I don't need the money or the titles or the prestige. I want them, but I don't need them," she said. Fun fact: Williams' daughter, at just 4 months old, is the youngest person to be on a Vogue cover.
Natalie Portman
One of the most talked about moments from the Golden Globes was Natalie Portman's introduction of the "all-male nominees" for best director. It was the perfect amount of shade for a night filled with Time's Up and all black.

Julia Louis-Dreyfus
The Veep star has completed her last day of chemotherapy, less than four months after sharing her breast cancer diagnosis on social media. The star shared a video her two sons made on Instagram, both dancing to Michael Jackson's Beat It.

Losers:

James Franco
After winning best actor at the Golden Globes (while wearing a Time's Up pin), Franco was accused of sexual misconduct by five women, some even students from his acting school. "James Franco just won," actor Ally Sheedy tweeted, then deleted during the award show. "Please never ever ask me why I left the film/tv business." Rose McGowan also took to Twitter to say that Hollywood has been "selectively deaf" about the allegations against Franco. "The things that I heard that were on Twitter are not accurate," Franco later told Stephen Colbert. "I completely support people coming out and being able to have a voice because they didn't have a voice for so long. I don't want to shut them down in any way. It's a good thing I support." Meaning, believe women, just not when they're talking about me.
Bella Thorne
Rob Lowe gave actor Bella Thorne a serious "check yourself" after she complained that she couldn't make it to her boyfriend's concert after the mudslides in California forced the closure of the 101 freeway. At least 17 people have been killed in the disaster in Southern California. "This attitude is why people hate celebrities/Hollywood. Bella, I'm sorry you were inconvenienced. We will try to move out our dead quicker," Lowe responded.

In other news:

Married: Bachelor in Paradise's Marcus Grodd tied the knot, saying "I do" to Ally Lutar.
Married: Ricky Martin has confirmed he's off the market. He and Jwan Yosef have said their vows, but the "heavy party" is still to come.
Baby news: Hugh Grant is going to be a father of five. The actor, 57, is expecting with girlfriend Anna Eberstein.
Breakups: Longtime couple Lena Dunham and Jack Antonoff have ended their relationship. The Girls actor took to Twitter to thank her fans for their support, and said she would always wear the ring Antonoff gave her.
Arrested: Teen Mom star Kieffer Delp was arrested on charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession with intent to deliver.

Review: ‘Lost in Space’ Netflix reboot trades camp for thrills and family drama

If the original Lost in Space is like the cheesy, campy older cousin, then the reboot is the prestigious, lofty exploratory story in the vein of Star Trek. The 10-episode Netflix reimagining charts a wildly different course than the Irwin Allen seri...
