Celeb watch: Billy Joel, Tony Bennett, Jerry Springer, Ric Flair in town this weekend

Here's a look at celebrities that are set to be in town Feb. 9-11. If you happen to see someone famous, let us know on Twitter or via email.

Billy Joel is at Amalie Arena on Friday; he's not on tour but rather playing select dates between Madison Square Garden gigs, so he may not be in town long. Read an interview.

Tony Bennett is in St. Petersburg to perform at the Mahaffey Theater on Friday and in Sarasota at the Van Wezel on Saturday. Read an interview.

Daytime TV alert: Jerry Springer, Divorce Court Judge Lynn Toler and Steve Wilkos are all guests at Saturday's Sant' Yago Illuminated Night Parade in Ybor City.  Toler has also been visiting Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital in St. Petersburg. Read an interview with Springer.

Wrestling legend Ric Flair is squaring off in conversation with Tampa Bay's own wrestling legend Hulk Hogan this weekend at the Seminole Hard Rock.

Disney and Nickelodeon stars Calum Worthy (Austin & Ally), Kevin Quinn (Bunk'd), Sky Katz (Raven's Home) and Addison Riecke (The Thundermans) will be appearing at the Florida State Fair on Saturday and Sunday. Read an interview with Worthy.

John Stamos and the Beach Boys are at Universal's Mardi Gras on Saturday, and then they'll make their way to a Clearwater gig on Tuesday. So it's a good bet they'll be around the area for a few days. Have mercy!

Metal personality and SiriusXM host Eddie Trunk is hosting his show (and tweeting) from the Hard Rock in Tampa on Friday, including praising the new the Rez restaurant and the Rush display.

Country singer Pam Tillis (daughter of Mel Tillis, the late Tampa-born Country Music Hall of Famer who kept lifelong roots in Plant City) has been performing all week at Busch Gardens.

Tony winning Broadway star Laura Benanti is doing a cabaret act at the Straz on Sunday.

Country singer Chase Rice, who was just in town to perform at the NHL All-Star Game, is back for a show at the Ritz Ybor Friday. He also tweeted that he was at Disney World with his family recently. Read an interview.

John Heffron, winner of Season 2 of Last Comic Standing, is performing at the Improv in Ybor this weekend.

Vic DiBitetto, winner of ABC's America's Funniest People and improv actor seen in Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2, has a show at St. Petersburg's Palladium on Saturday.

Dave Ankin, star of the Velocity channel show ToyMakerz, is at Motorcycle Expo and Bike Builder Invitational at Clearwater's Quaker Steak and Lube this weekend, which also features Warrant (Friday), Lita Ford (Saturday) and Stormbringer (Sunday).

Carol Aebersold, co-creator of Elf on the Shelf, is at a luncheon 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Brio Tuscan Grille Restaurant at International Plaza.
