On May 29, Twitter user @swank0cean tweeted, "I've just read that apparently the song that was number 1 on your 14th birthday defines your life."

It set off a viral sensation, sending the internet scrambling to see if MMMbop held the key to their future, or if Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now summed up the intangible feeling inside.

The Washington Post invented an interactive tool to make finding your signature song easier, but it's also simple information to Google.
