ICYMI: Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas are engaged, Taylor Swift donates tickets to grieving town

Here's some entertainment (and entertaining) news you might've missed this week.

Taylor Swift donates tickets to mourning police department

Taylor Swift is helping ease the pain of a Massachusetts city mourning the recent loss of a police officer. Weymouth Mayor Robert Hedlund tells the Patriot Ledger that Swift donated "a significant number of tickets" to the town for her shows this weekend in Foxborough, which were distributed among city police officers. Weymouth Sgt. Michael Chesna was shot and killed while investigating a car crash July 15.  Hedlund says there were enough to send "every police officer, firefighter and extended family to the concert, and then some."  Hedlund thanked Swift for the gesture on behalf of the town.

Panel finds Bill Cosby to be a sexually violent predator

A Pennsylvania state board has determined that Bill Cosby is a "sexually violent predator,"  after a psychologist met, questioned and evaluated Cosby, who has been confined to his home  since being convicted in April of three counts of aggravated indecent assault.  Cosby, 81, faces up to 30 years in prison .

Jenelle Evans’ gun incident the latest in ‘Teen Mom’ controversial history

MTV aired footage Monday of Teen Mom 2 star Jenelle Evans reaching for a handgun during a heated confrontation with an aggressive driver —  while her 8-year-old son sat beside her. In an episode titled "Road Rage," Evans called 911 to report the driver of a white pickup truck she said had been tailgating her, speeding around her and slamming on his brakes. Evans chose to follow the driver after he turned off the highway to his house and during a confrontation    was shown reaching for a handgun and placing it beside her while her son  sat in the passenger seat. According to TMZ, neither driver was charged in the April incident.

In other news …

ENGAGED: Nick Jonas, 25, and Priyanka Chopra, 36, according to People. The Indian press has already been in a tizzy over the rumor this week after director Ali Abbas Zafar tweeted Chopra had left the movie Bharat, saying "she told us in the Nick of time about her decision and we are very happy for her" and congratulating her. Jonas and Chopra have been confirmed as dating for about two months but have been speculated about since attending last year's Met Gala together.

ENGAGED: Supermodel Karlie Kloss, turning 26 next week, and Joshua Kushner, 33, brother of Jared Kushner, after six years of dating. She confirmed it on Instagram.

ARRESTED: Lindsay Lohan's stepmother, Kate Major Lohan, 35, was arrested in Boca Raton on a simple battery charge after she allegedly threw a candle in a glass holder at her husband  Thursday, according to police.

LEGAL NEWS: In a deal to avoid jail time, Real Housewives of New York star Luann de Lesseps pleaded guilty to disorderly intoxication, trespassing and battery. The 53-year-old was arrested on Christmas Eve last year in Palm Beach  after she entered the wrong hotel room and threatened a police officer.

BABY NEWS: Cardi B dropped out of Bruno Mars' tour because she's not ready to leave her newborn baby. The rapper was due to tour in September, when Kulture would be about 6 weeks.

BABY NEWS: Michael Buble and Luisana Lopilato welcomed baby girl Vida Amber Betty on Wednesday.

Died: Nicholas "Duffy" Fudge of Wicked Tuna died late last week at 28. No cause of death was released.

Reboot: Kelsey Grammer is reportedly working on ideas for more Fraiser.

Reboot: Jane Fonda confirmed she, Dolly Parton and Lily Tomlin are working on a 9 to 5 sequel.

Reboot: A sequel movie to Deadwood will begin production in October for a spring 2019 release, per HBO.

REBOOT REBOOT DATE: The Conners, ABC's reworking of the canceled Roseanne reboot, will premiere Oct. 16, in the former show's 8 p.m. Tuesday timeslot, the network said.
