ABC's 'Lucky 7' is first new fall show to be canceled
The First-Show-To-Be-Canceled Sweepstakes winner has been chosen, and the lucky winner is, appropriately enough, ABC's Lucky 7. More like Unlucky 7, amirite?
Nielsen reported the show about coworkers winning a lottery premiered to only 4.4 million viewers and a 1.3 rating in the coveted 18-49 demo, according to Entertainment Weekly. That second number dropped to a mere 0.7 the following week, so the series is dead as a sack of hammers. Scandal reruns will fill its 10 p.m. Tuesday time slot, which probably suits Scandal fans just fine.
The big question now is which one will be next. The crude Seth MacFarlane show Dads on Fox is an odds-on favorite, but we're going to put our money on NBC's Ironside. The ratings for that Blair Underwood remake of a Raymond Burr drama were so low, it may have been reported in negative numbers.
