Amber Tamblyn promoted to series regular on 'Two And A Half Men'
It looks like Jon Cryer's going to have to get used to having an illegitimate niece, because Amber Tamblyn has been promoted to series regular on Two And A Half Men. It's not like anyone thought she was really going to leave.
Deadline Hollywood reports in an exclusive that the contract extension comes just as she finishes working on the fifth and final episode of her deal with the show, now in its 11th season. Tamblyn was written in as Jenny, the late Charlie Harper's 25-year-old lesbian daughter looking to reconnect with her family, mostly to fill the hole left by the departure of Angus T. Jones, who was not the show's biggest fan on his way out the door.
It remains to be seen if CBS will have the name of the show changed. Somehow everyone quit worrying about it somewhere around when Jones' voice started to crack. The family should be more concerned with how this beach house in Malibu is apparently a vortex from which no family member even remotely connected to the Harpers can escape.
