'Biggest Loser' has a record win, but there's backlash
Almost as soon as Rachel Frederickson stepped onto the stage of the Biggest Loser finale Tuesday night, there was a sense that she was going to take home the $250,000 prize. And when she weighed in at 105 pounds, signaling that she had lost 155 pounds, or 59.62 percent of her body weight, sure enough she did.
But the weight loss didn't sit well with some, who decided that she was TOO thin. The Los Angeles Times writes that " the finale is sure to add fuel to the show's critics who question the safety of the measures it uses and the ethics of grueling weight-loss regimens as entertainment."
