ABC Action News forecaster Stephanie Roberts heads to Good Morning America this weekend as tsunami impacts
Last time she appeared on Good Morning America's weekend show, ABC Action News forecaster Stephanie Roberts found her only problem was scoring a good cup of coffee at 4 a.m. before the day started.
This weekend, the Tampa meteorologist will be returning for a second appearance one day after a tsunami impacts Japan, Hawaii and Los angeles in a disaster some estimate could take more than 1,000 lives.
"This weekend, with severe flooding across the Northeast and Midwest, in addition to all the breaking tsunami coverage, I am hopeful that I will be able to play a big role in the latest coverage," Roberts said by email this morning. "Nothing impacts more people than weather, which is why I love covering it."
Roberts first appeared on GMA's weekend shows back in December; the show airs on locally on her home station, WFTS-Ch. 28, at 8 a.m. Saturday and 7 a.m. Sunday.
The weekend edition of GMA has had an opening in its weather spot since September, when forecaster Marysol Castro left for CBS News, eventually joining the team leading The Early Show.
