America's Got Talent stage show comes to Straz Center in March hosted by Jerry Springer
America's Got Talent returns to the Tampa Bay area in March, with a stage show hosted by the hit summer series' second host, longtime Sarasota resident and talk show king Jerry Springer.
Observant fans will remember the show came to Tampa last year for auditions, taping tryouts held before the show's superstar judges at the Mahaffey Theater in St. Petersburg earlier this year (the first day, hundreds of fans were turned away when organizers gave out too many tickets.)
City officials were a little bummed by the experience, since the show's participants seemed to avoid saying they were in St. Petersburg, perhaps to make it seem as if the tryouts in Pinellas and Hillsborough happened at the same time.
Still, the show is back -- though don't expect to see judges Howie Mandel, Howard Stern or departed star Sharon Osbourne. Springer gets top billing on this extravaganza.
The press release for tickets, which go on sale a week from Friday, is below.
