Amid rumors American Idol contestant Jermaine Jones is gone, might Valrico's Jeremy Rosado have a chance?

rosado1.jpgI know it's a long shot.

But amid reports that American Idol semi-finalist Jermaine Jones was booted from the show for lying about his criminal past -- including five outstanding warrants -- I wonder if producers might not respond by giving booted contestant Jeremy Rosado another shot.

According to TMZ, Jones was very aggressive behind the scenes at Idol, screaming at a staffer. The Smoking Gun dug up details on past arrests where he gave false names to police.

If true, his departure leaves a question:  how will the contest go on.

The simplest result would be to avoid eliminating people this week to stay on schedule.

Next simplest would be to figure out a future date where they could skip an elimination to stay on schedule.

But they could also decide to bring back the guy who was eliminated last week, Valrico's Jeremy Rosado, and give him another chance to overcome his nerves and sing to stay in the show.

Of course, that might also mean he'd be eliminated from Idol two weeks in a row if he didn't do better.

Maybe that's not such a good idea.
