The Atlantic & National Journal present star-studded list of RNC panels in Tampa next week

20

August

natjournal-atlantic-logo.jpgFor political junkies and the civic-minded, political conventions can offer a unique change to talk politics, governing and social issues with the widest swath of heavy hitters in politics and media possible.

In that vein, The National Journal and The Atlantic have teamed up for a series of events at the Republican and Democratic conventions which will allow an up close look at notable names talking over some of the biggest issues in this year's elections.

The list of panelists reads like a who's who of media and politics, including CBS News anchors Bob Schieffer and Norah O'Donell, House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi, David Gregory, anchor of NBC's Meet the Press and ABC News anchor Diane Sawyer.

In Tampa, many of the events will be held at a headquarters assembled at the Carne Chophouse at 1536 E. 7th Avenue in Ybor City, unless otherwise noted (similar events with different arrays of moderators and panelists will be held in Charlotte for the Democratic National Convention). Doors will open 30 minutes before the event and are available to the public, unless designated as invitation only.

The events will also be live-streamed online at NationalJournal.com and events.theatlantic.com; members of the media may request press passes for invitation-only events. The list of events is below, or click here for a listing of all events:
