CBS Sports Radio's national talk lineup debuts today on the former WQYK-AM in Tampa Bay

cbssportsrad_tampa.pngArea sports talk fans got yet another outlet for their attention this morning, as the CBS Sports Radio Network's national talk lineup debuted this morning on the station once known as WQYK-AM (1010).

Now rechristened WHFS-AM, the station stopped simulcasting CBS Sports Radio's FM station 98.7 The Fan for an array of national spots talk voices including Jim Rome, who officially moves to his new radio home on CBS at noon. (Comic Jay Mohr, who earned his own show on Fox Sports Radio Network, takes Rome's noon timeslot on the area's biggest sports talk station, Clear Channel-owned WDAE-AM)

Onetime New York Giants running back (and former Today show contributor) Tiki Barber kicked the day off with Brandon Tierney and Dana Jacobson on a show which they repeatedly noted has no name. It's another step in CBS Sports' effort to assemble a sports media empire to rival ESPN, Fox and NBC Sports.
