Christian Bottger, 10-year-old dancer with Tampa Bay Buccaneers cheerleaders, to appear on Today show Tuesday
He's become a national sensation with sports fans, thanks to Fox featuring a clip of him Sunday dancing with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers cheerleaders, quickly followed by sports blogs such as The Big Lead.
But now 10-year-old dancer Christian Bottger is about to hit the big time, scheduled to appear on the Today show Tuesday after the anchors watched a clip of him dancing on this morning's show. His dancing has drawn interest from programs across the entertainment specturm, from Ellen to Good Morning America.
The family has already posted video of dad Ed Bottger, who is the team's video production manager, telling his son about the trip to New York City.
According to the video, it will be the first plane ride for the younger Bottger, a student at Fuguitt Elementary School in Largo who earned the nickname "Little Fear" during his time performing with the cheerleaders alongside the team mascot, Capt. Fear.
NBC says he's expected to perform with the team's cheerleaders and mascot Tuesday.
